Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone
I hope you are having a pheeeenominal Christmas. I know I sure did. I got lots of goodies from my family. I am glad that it is over though. Now I can concentrate on the New Year. I am thrilled to say I am scrapping now more than ever before. I am actually using and loving what I am buying. I went through a long phase of buying everything I see someone else using and being disappointed when I cannot recreate their beautiful work. No more I am making sure I am using the products I am buying. I am developing my own style. Scrapbooking is more fun than ever before. I am even getting out and doing more with my family. 2014 will have more adventures and fun than any other year. I am focusing on having adventures with my boys and Chris. I am also more focused at work. What about you? How are you chaining up 2014? I will be blogging more and posting more photos. I want to make sure I am on blog a couple times a week. I also want to enter more contests and hopeful win some goodies. Maybe even get brave enough to enter a few design team calls. But first and foremost get this blog up and running and looking presentable. So I hope you follow me and read about my life on pretty paper.

Baby it is cold outside

Yes it is very cold outside. I looked at the temperature setting in my car and it said 17 degrees. Boy is that cold. Northwest Indiana is not very Tracy friendly this time of year.  I am more of a fun in the sun and 80 degree kinda gal. over the past couple of day I created a few layouts. I also plan on posting some of my older layouts so you can look at what I have been up to. I really appreciate you stopping by and reading about my life on pretty paper.

Yoshi special day layout

I cannot believe it is already the middle of November. Where does the time go. I want to post a few layouts I have done. I hope you enjoy.

I love this layout of my guys. It is a layout of my son Yoshi, on the left, birthday. On the right is Chris and Mathew. Yoshi decided he wanted his birthday dinner at a Japanese Restaurant cal House of Kobe. It is a family favorite. They cook the food right in front of you so it is a lot fun to go there.
The green background paper is Bo Bunny Kiwi paper. There is Oxford Lane by My mind's Eye,Bo Bunny Garden Stripe paper and Country Garden Dot paper ,  Irish Farm Label stickers by Jillibean Soup and an ek success starburst punch and the little camera's are by studio calico, I painted them with twinkling H20's to give them an ombre effect. I hope you enjoy the layout.

It has been a touch month. Losing my Uncle Dale two weeks ago was tough for my Aunt Sue and Cousins Lynn and Brian. My dad took is pretty hard as well. He will never be the same. I am not saying he is totally changed but I already see a little change in him. He has yet to find another RV to take on the road. My Uncle Dale and Aunt Sue along with my parents traveled a lot over the past several years in their RV's. Now that Dale is not around my dad has lost a piece of that want. He is waiting until spring to decide if he wants another RV or maybe a new vehicle and travel the open road with mom and Aunt sue and stay in Cabins and hotels.
Last week it actually snowed in LaPorte. Two days in a row while I was driving snow fell from the sky and it is not even Halloween yet. The snow did not stick around thank goodness.

I am looking forward to the new year and coming up with a new word for the year as well as a few personal goals.
thank you for reading about my life on pretty paper.

Oct 1st

Well today is October 1st and it is a dreary, overcast day. Not really rainy just a blah kinda day. I feel like fall is now settling in and letting me know those wonderfully happy sunny summer days are gone. Mother Nature is telling me to prepare for the winter. The leaves are changing and time is going by so fast. I will not have much of a chance to scrap today as I am working and then right after work the whole family is going out for Mathews 22nd birthday. It will be a fun time getting together with the boys. I love times like this.

Amazing people

While at work today I met the nicest and friendliest couple from the UK. They moved to Canada from the UK several years ago. They are traveling and their travel van broke down so they came in to the dealership to get it serviced. While they were waiting I started talking to them. They were very nice and friendly. I love their british accent. If you were to ask me where I would like to live other than the US is the UK. It is similar to the US but with a lot more history. Not to mention I do not have to learn a new language or eat crazy foods like monkey brains or elephant intestines to blend in with the culture. Not sure about the weather but I can get over that. I would have to learn to drink tea but that is a small price to pay to live in an area so rich with history. I would take a bazillion photos and enjoy scrapping every one of them. I will just have to convince Chris to take me there. Thank you for reading about my life on pretty paper.

I am so glad to be feeling almost normal. Last night I had a migraine. Not just any migraine but a head splitting, don't talk to me and expect me to answer, turn off all lights migraine. I even dreamed about having a migraine and I felt the pain in my sleep. When I woke up this morning I still had the migraine. My wonderful fiance' let me have the day off. See my finace' and I work for the same place and he happens to be one of my bosses. The fact that he can let me have the day off is the only perk I get for dating my boss. I laid in bed all day until the migraine decided to go away. About the time I was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel my son Mathew asked me to go to the Apple Orchard. Which I gladly accepted. He even let me take lots of photos of him and his girlfriend Brittney. It was a lovely warm afternoon. We laughed and had apple cider and picked apples. So much fun. The best part I have off tomorrow as well.

Ok so it is the middle of September. Oh   my    gosh    I cannot believe the summer is coming to an end. I had a great summer. Most of my Sundays were spent on Lake Michigan on our boat and my Fridays were spent scrapbooking. I know I have not posted anything on my blog or even made it pretty but I will. We are getting ready to move into a house. It is our home for another year and then we will be buying a house to settle into. The summer weather was mild this year with temperatures in the mid to upper 80's nothing spectacular or super hot. We at least until now. Yesterday and today were in the 90's. Seems like summer is going out in a blaze of glory. Pretty soon the leaves will paint the landscapes with bright oranges, yellow and reds. Their final who rah before weather turns cold and snow starts falling. I will be working on posting some layouts I have done over the summer and getting my blog to look more appealing. I appreciate you taking time to look at read my story on pretty paper.
